imageIn honour of the life of 17 year old nun Kelsang Namtso, the filmmakers have decided to set up a Trust Fund to help the young people who make the difficult journey from Tibet to India in search of an education.

The International Campaign for Tibet fully supports the Fund and their suggestion is to initially allocate the raised funds to create increased educational opportunities for the young people who were part of the Nangpa group who were attacked on September 30th 2006 by Chinese soldiers.

We need your help! We have an amibitious target of raising AU$50,000 and we need everyone to come together and make it happen. If you care about these issues and want to help in any way, please read on to learn about the FOUR WAYS you can get involved

imageThe Kelsang Namtso Fund will support and assist the young Tibetan Refugees in concrete, practical ways that will empower them with a better education and brighter prospects.

The immediate needs include school books, clothing and personal items. Subsequently we will be allocating funds for new up-to-date computers, comprehensive English classes and travel when needed.

The filmmakers will be visiting the TPV Suja School in March 2009 to meet with the students and map out how to best help meet their ongoing educational needs. Click here to watch a video of life at the TPV Suja School

We would also like to erect a small stupa in Kelsang's honour. The location of this is yet to be determined.
